Where can I watch TV shows in Spanish (with caption)? What are best ways to learn spanish?

Hi,

I'm a college student who wants to learn more Spanish, but I do not know how to find a lot of the resources.

Is there anyway I can watch shows via streaming video in Spanish? Is there anyway I can watch these shows with caption at the bottom of the screen?

I really need the caption because I realized I don't understand what they are saying since they talk so fast. I'm looking for popular main stream shows such as Desperate Housewives, Heroes, Scrubs, House, etc. etc.

Do you guys have advice on how I can improve my Spanish listening skills? I don't know what's really good in terms of Spanish pop music, so if you have recommendations that would be great.

an easy way would be to get an engilsh translator into SPanish so that way you could learn what it means, and still know what that world actually is. Also, you can take an extra class if you still need extra help.
I dont know of any show that are closed caption but what you can try to find out if that show has it just leave the closed captioned on and see if it appears [its either CC1 or CC2]

(like in english stations you will know because it has that closed captioned symbol [ ] (the box thing))
Hola. C贸mo est谩s? When I was learning French, dictionaries and "subtitles" were definitely out-of-the-question. According to my French professor, they tend to confuse a bit. The best TV networks with all Spanish-speaking programs are: Univision and Telemundo. I'm not quite sure but I think they do have subtitled programs. If they don't, better yet, Just watch and listen carefully and frequently. This will force train your ear (and your mind) to listen in Spanish. The best aid is to mingle with Spanish speaking people. There, you can ask them (in Spanish) to slow down a bit., "Hable un poco m谩s despacio, por favor" or "no hable tan rapido, por favor".

Try reading Spanish books, newpapers and magazines (People, en espa?ol, is a good one). Books, I'm sure your professor has assigned some novels, like "El hombre de la mancha" by Miguel de Cervantes. You can also try reading some translated Fairy Tales (Hans Christian Anderson's are my favorites). That way, you already have an idea as to what you are reading!!!

Music, the greatest! There are many, many good Spanish-speaking singer out there. One of my favorites is Olga Ta?on. Then there are Ricky Martin and Chayanne, of course! And don't forget Enrique Iglesias, among others, like Gloria Trevi and RBD (Rebelde). Again just listen carefully and repeat the songs as often as you like. I have nephews that speak English very well, without ever leaving the island (Puerto Rico). I am in the process of learning Italian, using the same procedures. Just be patient and try using whatever you already know. Eventually you will get the hang of it, but you must not be afraid of speaking it.!!

If your looking for streaming American shows in Spanish than Show Links.tv is your best shot. They have links to shows in Spanish and other languages. I think your gonna have a hard time finding American TV shows dubbed in Spanish and subbed in English. But good luck!

Nip/Tuck on FX is a good show. It is aimed a little more towards the adults. I'm not sure how old you are, but if your over 18 then you might enjoy it!!! Show is on tonight (tues @ 9pm cst)

Friday Night lights is awesome as well. It shows on Friday night (go figure) at 8pm cst.

I also love the show Samantha Who on ABC on Monday nights after Dancing w/ the Stars (which is also a great tv Show)

New shows this season would be Dirty Sexy Money, Cane and Gossip Girl. They are on ABC, CBS and CW. Don't know the times since I Tivo them and watch them when I have a chance. Criminal Minds on CBS is not new but good if you like the mystery drama type of show.

How do i get over being nervous at horse shows?

I don't feel nervous until i feel the show clothes are on and it gets worse once i enter the ring. Im almost over being stage fright when i present at school but at a horse show it's a whole different battle. I do pleasure shows and im building up to the jumping ring but i have to do flatwork before it, which feels like pleasure. I have the habit, kinda, of getting nervous when i feel ppl watching me, being around so many other horses at some shows, the judges intense searching/observing eyes, hoping i don't mess up, showing at the home barn, etc. PLZ can someone help find some way to get over this?

Stage fright at shows is a hard thing to get over, and it takes a lot of work. Think of every show as a learning experience and don't let your goal be to win. Instead, set personal goals for each show. Start with simple things like being the best turned out, getting over the biggest jump in the ring on your first try, or keeping you heels down for your whole round. Feel good about yourself for accomplishing your personal goals, and take your focus off of winning and what the judge thinks of you.

Also, try not to think of the judge as an ominess person there to critisize your every move. Smile at them as you pass by in the ring, they are good people who are there to help. If it helps, i would suggest taking some classes on how to judge so that you can see the other side of judges. Even suggest to your coach or barn manager that a recognized judge come to your barn to teach a clinic. Most judges have their coaching levels as well and it will give you a chance to ask them questions and become more comfortable in their presence.

And remember that the crowd at shows are mostly fellow competitors and their families. They are your comrads and probably feel the same way you do. Are you at the side of the ring judging their every move, thinking in your head that they all suck? I hope not. And they're probably not thinking those things either.

I've been showing horses for 15 years, since i was 6 years old, and i still get nervous right before i get on my horse. But it all melts away once i start concentrating on my horse and my warm up. The more you show, the better it will get.

don't go to horse shows.
take a deep breath and jsut go with the flow.
you must try to feel one with your horse. You are trying to show him/her at his/her best. Try to think of it not being about you but about your animal. The horse will pick up on your positive feelings and you will both look good in the ring. You go to a lot of trouble to get your horse ready and looking great, so enjoy all your hard work and try to show off your animal as best you can.
Imagine the horses in their underwear. Haha just kidding.
Try to remember that the judges were once where you are now- that will go a long way towards reducing your self confidence. Ask your coach to invite a judge or top trainer to give a clinic at your barn, where you can get to know the judge and ask him/her questions. Visualization of someone you love standing in the judges' place might help you to relax and remember to smile at them. Just pretend it's your grandma, or someone else you love, in their place. You will be a lot less nervous if you imagine you are riding for your grandma or a loved one, simply because it is easier. Try it. It works.
Yes, it's all in how you talk to yourself. I HIGHLY recommend Jane Savoie's two tapes called 'That Winning Feeling'. You can also buy the book but the tapes are her speaking and she is really funny! I bought mine on Amazon.com and i love them. They are about horse riding but could apply to any area of your life where you need to improve. She was a college student waiting tables and decided she wanted to ride on the US Equestrian team at the Olympics. Having no money and no horse, she was a bit unlikely but she did it. Oh....Its okay...I get them too...It always happens to me.

Take deep breaths and try to remember your posture and all the other things you learn in your head... close your eyes and think on how well you are going to do...When I get nervous I think of all the things I learned and make sure everything is going smoothly.

Smile and laugh a little before you go into the ring...just have fun and don't take so seriously...enjoy riding...thats what I do...you can take tylenol, gravol or advil to lower your nerves a little.

Get good nights rest and you won't be so uptight.

1990's Tv Shows?

Am lookign for a couple of old shows from the 90s. I want to see if I can find them on youtube. These shows were on NBC one of them was a bunch of teenagers in highschool (i think it had Hanging in the title) about some kids that played basketball... the other one i want to look for is about some kids in school also but the kids were some kind of monsters... and the last one i want to look for is about a girl who had two fathers that they lived in a studio apartment.....

while my wife feels that the baby can come soon.

1st trimester +/- 1week approx

2nd trimester +/-2weeks approx

even if u have the date confirmed by a first trimester scan,labour can set in anytime after 37weeks of gestation.labour after 37weeks is considered full term delivery.

if ur wife develops pain which progresses...then be sure tht it is labour pain.others signs of going into labour include progressively increasing back ache,leakage of fluid etc

no cz the ultrasound approximates the date from the baby's size. so seems like ur baby is a small one which is good btw cz ur wife won't suffer a lot and don't worry the baby will grow normally out :]

it all depens on the baby's size in an ultrasound, most babies in the first pregnancy arn't on time anyway either they are early or late hardly eva on their due date
No it doesn't. My first with my son said April 28 then the 20 week one said 14 of April. My son was born 10 May and the doctors realized he should have come about a month prior. Babies grow and develop at their own rate. Your due date is simply an estimated date of delivery. Good luck and God bless.

Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And the "phantom" e-mails is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. Their "tech support" is nothing but a joke right now. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.

I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.

Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.

I usually get this same problem, it's usually some spam. When you are at your Inbox, it should say: VIEW. Click that and goto "Unread Messages", that should pull up everything you need.
Sometimes if you have unread messages then it says you have messages because you hevnt read all of them. Read all of them or delete your imbox maybe that will help.
so..there are no messages AT ALL in your inbox? If that's the case...I have no idea.

But if do you have some old messages just sitting there still, look back to your oldest messages and you might find those 5 unread ones lurking there with some really wierd dates on them. I get junk mail sometimes and it goes to my inbox - not sure why - and sometimes they are dated for 2001!! wierd!!!

"claymore" is this anime about this girl named clare you has become a claymore. they are silver eyed witches(not at all witches tho) who are half human and half-youma(monsters). claymores exist to kill all youma. clare has become a claymore in order to kill the awakened one(claymore that have submitted to the youma sides) who killed someone prescious to her.

princess princess -story revolving around the lives of three boys chosen to dress up as girls at the all-boy school they attend, which also just happens to be the most elite school in the area.

its a cute and halarious story of a boy who just had his heart broken and visits a video store but once he watches the video of a cute girl, she pops out of the tv!!

Yamato Nadeshiko Schichi Henge (the wallflower)- its a funny story of 4 beautiful guys trying to make a "ugly" girl become beautiful for free rent from the girls aunt but only one problem the girl doesnt want to be pretty!

ouran high skool host club- Haruhi is poor tomboyish student at a school for the wealthy, only able to attend because of a scholarship. Looking for a place to study, she enters a music room, only to find that it's being used by the Ouran Host Club. The guys of the host club intentionally play up their attributes to please the customers, which even they realize is silly, but it does work like a charm

there are so many great shows out there, but im not sure if the ones i watch are main stream or not...i just watch what i find and finish them if i like them...

My favorite older anime is Yu Yu Hakusho...It basically follows most story lines that action animes go by. A young boy in middle/high school always ditches class to sleep or get into fights. He has no friends except for the over achieving girl who is the class president. he has a bad home life, there for hes always in the streets doing what he pleases. one catch, he dies within minutes of the series when trying to save a little boy and is offered the chance to get his life back if he does good deeds for a day. he ends up getting an offer to be "spirit detective" and finds that he has sweet powers...he works hard and does his job, slowly losing his poor attitude. this series is great for fight scenes because he is eventually sent to demon world where there is the dark tornament in which he fights with many demons for the position of ruler...the series has awsome characters, many of them are my favorite characters ever in television! i suggest that you check it out!

Naruto is good...but its been described...as well as bleach.

Fushigi Yugi is pretty good...its pretty much a love story with some action mixed in. but theres a good story line and it made a good impression on me. The main character finds a book and gets takin into another world that is the book itself. she ends up being the girl who is capable of saving the world by summoning Suzaku, a special "creature" spirit thing that grants wishes. There are seven celestial warriors of Suzaku that are to protect her, they are all very colorful characters that keep you interested, and i actually remembered All of their names, which i usually cant do. but thats because they were pretty sweet. I guess a lot of the story is hard to explain without using a lot of detail, so you should give it a try.

Fruits basket is freaking adorable, but no action really.

I just watched Spiral...its was mind boggeling, little action, and stupid ending. at least thats how i feel. I would avoid it.

As far as buying anime...i would avoid best buy. it can get expensive considering they dont have a lot of box sets. buying anime dvds as singles get expensive. check out sweet websites like animearigato.com they have sooo many series and often have great clearence items...they even carry anime toys posters...manga and japanese snacks too!

Our favorite shows are 24, Everybody Loves Raymond, and anything on Court TV. (I guess for Raymond, everyone needs a laugh now and then!)
I don't, but some of the nurses I work with are glued to Grey's Anatomy and ER.
I'm a reimbursement specialist...they don't make shows like that ;)

Would this hurt or help the AQHA / APHA/ PtHA etc shows?

In your opinion, would creating a "non pro" division for amatuers who have amassed a certain number of points (say a 1000 in an event such as WP) hurt or help the horse shows? This was a discussion that several of us had over breakfast the other day regarding amatuer riders who are either the kids of trainers or have the big bucks that allows them to buy the high dollar show horses which keeps them in the winners circle year after year. Should they "point out"of an event and either go to a non pro or open division? Would this level the playing field and bring in more people to show who would have a chance at possibly getting points on their horses when not having to show against these people or would it hurt in the fact that the "big gun" amatuers may leave the show ring altogehter? There were a lot of different opinions on this and I would like to see what the horse show people here have to say about it.

I think it would benifite it in the long run. You'd have people gripe b/c it's going to make shows run longer BUT it makes it more fair. It always drove me nuts when i was younger trying to show AQHA on my lil home bred mare and all these other kids on these high $$$ horses b/c mommy and daddy were loaded or were the trianers themselves. I rarely placed when I showed BIG time AQHA shows but at the lil local AQHA shows my mare wa sin the top 5 everytime. Congress was a laugh. I went once showed up with my horse saw all the high $$$ horses and kids and scratched from every event b/c I knew there was no point. i was right too all the trainers kids placed. Only one home-bred horse placed and ironically it belonged to a trainer whose freind's kid was riding it.... So yeah I think your idea is perfect. Wish that had been thought of when I was showing. My experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I now prefer not to show breed reg events

I don't know much about the show scene, but I agree that adding a class in the structure you describe would accomplish all you describe and more.

It would also serve as a transition for those in the process of going pro.
I am not familiar with AQHA/APHA etc. show protocol, but I understand what you're saying and I think that a procedure like that would be beneficial for all. I think all disciplines have issues like this, where the person with the most cash (for the top trainers and/or top horses) ultimately triumphs over "the rest of us", who meanwhile train their bums off all year on $1500 OTT TBs.

However, I think there have to be limitations on a policy like this, since often times the funding for these events comes (directly or indirectly) from the top barns themselves, or else people connected with them. And of course there is the issue of people getting upset over "prejudice" against the the people with expensive horses/trainers.

I do think that some fields are far less level than others, and this certainly sounds like one of them. Anything that brings the purpose of shows down from S/He Who Has The Most Money back to S/He Who Is An Exemplary Rider is fine by me. I stopped showing years ago, and I'm afraid that this was the reason why. I hate to sound like a sore loser, but I know I'm not the only person who feels this way.
I think AQHA had something along these lines....once you got 10 points, you had to move out of that division. Can't remember if there was a name for this division. I think it would help so long as the "pro-amateur" still had a place to go and show. This is a pretty sizeable field. If there are enough "novice- amateurs" and "pro-amateurs" for classes to be lucrative, then everybody should stand to gain. Arabians have the same issues, but I have seen winners from all across the board at their big shows..the small guy has a chance and there is a healthy turnout of each group.

As for being big guns and having the money to put into a show and pay the bills, I think associations are going to pay attention to where the money comes from, bottom line being very crucial to operations. They would have to be shown there is a good cost return to hold limited novice type classes.

Yes, they'll eventually point out; however, the cost of the rail horses with AQHA is not going down....many horses now shown by novice amateurs and amateurs and the 14-18 group in the $85,000 to $125,000 and up bracket. These people continue to step up to the pay window and will eventually have multiple futurity horses or will show in the open division or will have a trainer ride their horse in the open division. They've got no end of bucks and are willing to spend it.

Edit: If I'm understanding your question there are classes in place and age limits which send these kids on to the next level. From 14-18 they'll move onto Novice Amateur, Limited Rider, and then Amateur; If they still qualify and aren't involved in training horses which is an automatic "out" of amateur. I'd like to say it would level the playing field but it doesn't. For every two that leave 14-18 and go onto novice amateur, two more come into the14-18 group from the 13 and under group who are equally competitive usually with a brand new horse.

For those who do not have a lot of money to show, we created the Regional AQHA Show; it allows the kids without a lot of capitol to show against others at their own level. The same holds true for the amateurs and the open division at regional. The horses collect regional points. It is a good starting point and at our first Regional show here we had a large turnout of those wanting to compete.

Many Amateurs showing at Congress and World levels stay in that division until they reach the age of 50 at which point they may move into the Select (Amateur) classes. Usually by this time, they're glad to get away from the kids who've entered Amateur from the 14-18 group....some huge competition there.

I don't know that you can "force" anyone from a competition level after acquiring a certain number of points...say in the Amateur division. If they want to remain amateurs, haven't trained a horse for anyone, haven't accepted renumeration for training, then..they're still amateurs...can't take it away from them. They can stay there. I believe the AQHA may regard "Non Pro" and " Amateur" as interchangeable. My question to you would be how would you differentiate between the two??? Just by points? Creating another division may only increase paperwork for the overworked show secretary. Our Summer Classic show in June is the third largest Quarter Horse show in the nation. We have all of the amateur classes, all youth, all open, most of the cattle classes, the games, halter divisions, etc....the list is long....so, I do not know how Non Pro would fly in the face of so much going on now.

I would suggest that you acquire an "Official Handbook" of the AQHA which goes into great depth regarding different divisions of showing.....you might make a suggestion of "non pro" to the show committee at the next AQHA convention.

I really want to act. I would prefer to act in a disney show, and be a small character.I would like to be someone like Ashley and Amber, or maybe even Lily (though that is a way bigger part). How can I get auditions for disney shows? Are any new ones going to be made soon?

It's better that you want a smaller role, but it's not good that you're setting your goal so high first thing. I don't want to discourage, but very very rarely do people with no experience get cast. that isn't to say it doesn't happen, but it's rare. Disney does have a website where they post their "cattle calls" but good luck even getting looked at at one of those. They generally aren't worth wasting your time on. Get some roles in other stuff, put together a reel, a resume, get some real work experience and then hit them up. It'll set you apart from the other people who have no idea what they are doing. Also, work as some professional stuff if you can. AVOID joining the union until you're ready to pursue Disney for good. then do it and don't look back. I'm pretty positive Disney insists on actors who are already, or pushing for the union because child labor laws are so harsh. Good luck.

Most actors on these shows have long resumes full of previous experience. Most auditions notices go out through what is called breakdown services directly to agents of the actors. So sometimes without an agent you won't even here about the auditions. I would suggest you get into acting classes and do community theatre and start building your resume. Break a leg.

A running PC has two harddisk. Yesterday we took backup from one to another. But today it shows backup hard disk status is as unallocated. Hard disk is shows in device manager working properly with it's capacity.

MTV is one of the most stereotyping networks out there. It's made for teens and people in their early twenties, who often have very little or negative ideas towards gays. MTV just does what's popular, not what's correct.

MTV is, first and foremost, entertainment. They cater to the media and the public. Stereotypes are more entertaining to the general public than an individual person. People like to watch stereotypes because they like to see their beliefs confirmed by a popular network. They don't want to watch something they aren't used to.

Plus, you have to keep in mind that all of the "people" on these shows are characters created by the producers. Everything is scripted and they are all acting virtually 100% of the time. Don't take anything on there too seriously. That network is basically made for mindless 16 year old girls living in SoCal with nothing better to do all day than watch people as mindless as themselves doing things that no one would ever actually do.
MTV is not progressive at all! It feeds in the stereotypes of everyone. Look at the Real World. They make every black cast member look like angry ignorant people, they make the gay men look like gossiping two faced queens, and they make young people look like promiscuous drunks. Horrible network that doesn't even play music until 4 am.

How can you put recorded shows on the DVR onto DVDS?

WIth the THE DISH cable t.v. provider they give you a DVR which allows you to record shows, movies, games, etc.

What I was wondering was how to transfer those recorded shows and movies onto DVD's so I have a hardcopy of it.

I presume that you would have to somehow transfer the show to the computer and then burn it to a DVD but I'm unsure.

Well, I went to wal-mart and bought a dvd recorder/palyer (cost me $49.95) and I hooked it up to my T.V. and have successfully recorded my shows onto DVDs, if you do this..... don't forget to FINALIZE the DVD before you watch it on the computer or DVD player.

Just curious to find out in general when most American tv shows are scripted, shot and have post done to them ie how do the seasons work. Where I work in Oz scripts for the show are written a few months in advance while the previous series is still being shot (and rewritten, amendments etc) production of the new series starts in July and we start on air for the new series in Feb the following year. Schedules for Production and Post would be great too ie how many shoot days, second units if any, how long editors have to assemble eps, how long a director is in post etc. Any help would be great. Ya, I never did get into ER, although everyone else did when it was really huge. I tried many many times, believe me. Now I don't have time to watch tv with my schedule but when I do, I like Andrew Zimmerns "Bizarre Foods" so interesting! And I did like "Heroes", it was a cool show. Also "Dirty Sexy Money" but I only watched that a few times.

When your iPod is connected to iTunes, select it in the source list. There will be the settings and options for your iPod. There will be tabs for things like Music, Photos, Podcasts and one of them should be TV Shows and Movies. Make sure you have the show or playlist for that show selected in that window. Click apply and it should sync over. Also make sure that you have enough room on the nano.

ok so you downloaded iTunes right..?well then you download music if any by sticking the CD in the regular disc drive you use for games and stuff then you have all your music.

now for the TV thing you have to hook up your iPod to tha computer and then you sync it until that is done.Then you go and click on your iPod where the left side screen is and it just says whatever you named your iPod and you click on that.then you click on podcasts on tha flaps on the top of tha screen and then you click which setting you like.a lot of people dont now that but im sure a lot of people on Y!A otherwise know how to do that. What is up with cartoon shows these days?

I miss watching cartoon shows like Hey Arnold, Catdog, Sitting ducks, and several others. The shows had good storylines. But now a lot of cartoons I've seen lately aren't what they used to be.

Now I mostly watch sitcoms like Fresh prince of bel air, Cosby show, Everybody hates Chris etc...

It means you are getting old and can no longer relate to the contemporary cartoons.
I feel lucky whenever I am able to watch old Bugs Bunny cartoons. I'm glad some stations still recognize great entertainment.
New cartoons are loud, obnoxious, have no good story line, and teach no morals. I miss the cartoons of the 80s that were pretty innocent and had a "moral of the day" lesson. They also were better drawn and seemed to have more effort put into them.
The cartoons you mentioned aren't even that old. I thought you'd mention ones from the 50s, 60s or 70s....not the 90s!

I ask myself what's up with cartoons from the 80s, 90s and today? None of them can compare to the ones made before 1980.
The problem with cartoons these days is there is nothing new that hasn't already been done. Also, alot of cartoons these days are cgi-based rather than the good 'ole way of doing things, drawing them.

Yes I Do! a lot of todays cartoons really suck! They make absolutely No since. Back in the Day they had good, funny cartoons since I don't have cable No more I am missing my Cartoons Network, Disney Channel, Nickelodeon and stuff but thats alright though. Like you I mostly watch Everybody Hates Chris, Girlfriends, and some others. I try not to watch too much TV I try to get out more.

My computer only shows blank screeen after changing its case. why?

Yesterday, I decided to change my power supply because its fan stopped working. So I bought a new one and connected to my computer. However, because my computer is SONY VAIO PCV RX-450, I could not put my standard ATX power supply in its case. So I immediately brought my old computer case from the garage, and put the VAIO components in there. When I put the switch on, it was just black and nothing else! It does not even show “cannot find input signal” No, it just shows black screen. I tried various methods

1.pulled the monitor plug and connected again

2.pull all PCI card and put the power on to see whether they are causing problem

3.reconnected my ram

4.reconnected power supply wires

5.brought my old power supply and connected to the computer again

pull the motherboard out of the case and set it up on a nonconductive surface, put in the video card and plug it in. if it doesn't power up you may have shorted the board.

Have you tried putting everything back the way it was when it was functioning? If that makes it work again then one option would be to simply replace the bad fan that was in the original power supply - just make sure it's completely disconnected from A/C power before you open it up.... Just a thought - what may be causing your current 'black screen' is an extra metal stand-off touching the underside of the Sony motherboard that's mounted in your old computer case. You could also try running the motherboard outside of the case. Good luck.

This usually happens when you do not have java or flash installed go to the Adobe flash website and install flash and/or go to the Sun Java website and install java that should fix it.

that means the icture failed to load the web design might be having problems your computer can't load or the picture has been deleted if it is your computer then look for a small picture of a window with an "!" ain it that mean theres an error

Sometimes, if it's just a site or two, you can right click on the x and click refresh pic or show pic... says something like that.

if it's all pics on all sites, tools | options | advanced tab | scroll to multimedia, clear checkbox in 'show image download placeholders'

when I used to put a dvd in the dvd-rw drive, an option used to come up to burn dvd, play etc. But now its shows as dvd-rw in my computer, but this then changes to cd-drive when a blank dvd disc is inserted. Also options shown are for a cd, not dvd. However, if I ignore that and go straight in to nero 6, I can burn a dvd. I'd still like to fix error though. Any ideas please??

Mine did this, my drive no longer writes DVD+RW discs even with Nero6.

I just received my bitless bridle by Dr.Cook and my horse absolutely loves it. He responds a lot better. His quote "you have a better horse than you think "

Anyways, I searched all over and I can't find the rules about using this bridle in shows! I will be showing in equitation and hunters. 2'3 jumping. And I can't find out anything about using this bitless bridle! I live in Florida and I'll be showing at PBCHA.

tack: regulation snaffles, pelhams and full bridles all with cavesson nosebands are RECOMMENDED. a judge may penalize for non- conventional types of bits or nosebands.

this rule says that bits are only recommended. it says nothing about not being allowed to show bitless.

now for the dressage rule they have stated that certain bits are REQUIRED to compete.

therefore you can show biltless in hunters and jumpers. some judges might penalize you for that decision of riding bitless but it is allowed

did you look under USEF rulebooks?

They are not allowed, anytime you are in a showing situation, your horse must be bitted unless its 5 or under, then bosals are acceptable. I am guessing your horse is over that age.

I am at work right now and can't get to the USEF rules but check there, I believe alot of shows follow their rules.
If all else fails, call, e-mail, or even write a letter to them asking.
Hunters, not in the USEF and most likely not in the PBCHA. Hunters in particular are rather fussy about bits. Equitation does not have a specific rule on bits, but you can be penalized for an unconventional rig. Jumpers, you'll probably be okay. I know they allow hackamores in the USEF (a friend of mine competes in one). There is no real set of legal bits for the jumpers. I would contact the PBCHA and see what they say, and see if a bitless bridle is classified in the same way as a hackamore. Also, keep in mind that most schooling shows are more lenient about these things, especially if you call them ahead of time and let them know you're coming.
some horse shoes allow it, some dont. it ususally depends on the people hosting the show. either before you go to a show you can call the people and ask if they allow no bits, or you can bring bridles with and w/o a bit and ask there. have fun!!
Hunters and Eq must go in bits, and unconventional bits may be penalized. I would not be schooling in something I cannot show in...I would think your trainer would have told you what is/isn't allowed in the show ring before you bought something that you can only use at home.

Basically the only place a bitless bridle is allowed in recognized shows is in cross country. Bitless bridles are not allowed in hunters or dressage.

most shows of both gma %26amp; abscbn suck big time! the catch/twist of the stories, wether its drama, action-adventure, fantasy, are all the same-long lost/unknown/interchanged daughters, brothers, mothers, fathers,etc etc. the flow of the story is not new, unoriginal (cheap copycats), very predictable and most of all insulting to one"s intelligence!exceptions are public affairs shows/ docus eg eye witness, probe, reporter's notebook, the correspondents, docu specials et al

I always watch PBB S2. If I can, I watch their news and current affairs programs like Probe and The Correspondents. I watch Game Ka Na Ba just to watch Edu's antics while interviewing contestants. I really am staying away from TV nowadays. Also, No GMA dramas for me.

it doesn't really happen like that over here. In the UK we have shorter seasons/series so they're usually all shown. Then depending on how well they do they get signed up for a second series. At least I think that's how it works.

life lessons don't sell lite beer and dish powder and SUVs and armpit deodorant and soda pop. the lessons stopped when the money got so big. individual tv shows today run on budgets higher than the movies from the times you're longing for. people demand these shows to be action/sex/controversy loaded just like the movies. no room to teach life lessons in there and the producers couldn't care less - only to recoup those giant budgets.

I think that people that watch television stopped tuning into that. We all dont want to be preached to when being entertained...plus who's moral lesson should be published? Christian? Catholic? Jewish? Black? If you do one, that implies that the others arent as good.
