What are some good Anime shows to watch?

I've been having a lack of anime to watch, since i've missed too many episodes of Blood + and Bleach (on Adultswim)

So i cant catch up... %26gt;__%26lt;

Here are some of my favorite Genres:

Horror, Action/Adventure, Humor, Yaoi/shounen ai

(I do not like anime shows that just talk the who entire time and have no action)

Please (if you would) post more than show....

And a little discription about it.

I like non-mainstream shows...though i need to be able to find them online(to buy) or at a local movies store (bestbuy)

"claymore" is this anime about this girl named clare you has become a claymore. they are silver eyed witches(not at all witches tho) who are half human and half-youma(monsters). claymores exist to kill all youma. clare has become a claymore in order to kill the awakened one(claymore that have submitted to the youma sides) who killed someone prescious to her.

i'm not sure if you can find it at a store because it hasnt been liscensed in the U.S. yet. but you can find it at crunchyroll.com or veoh.com.

highly highly highly recommend you watch it.
NARUTO!!!!!!!!!!!!- Naruto is about ninjas, and a boy named Naruto who's been treated like dirt all his life and wants to be the greatest ninja born, i'm not going to tell any more because that would ruin it all, you should have to watch it, and it's online too.

Shaman King- is alright it's about ghosts and stuff like that,it's online too, although the magna is way better.

Bobobobobobo- is a comdey which has a lot of action although it's hust stupid stuff that's funny, i believe it's online.

One Piece- is about pirates, and a boy named Luffy who has all the powers of a rubberband, i'm pretty sure it's online.

I'm trying to think of ones that haven't been canceled or something of that nature that are worth watching, and unlike you( no offense) i prefer all of my anime and magna to be about straight people.

well i know a lot of anime but ill name a few cuz im too lazy to write down everything....

princess princess -story revolving around the lives of three boys chosen to dress up as girls at the all-boy school they attend, which also just happens to be the most elite school in the area.

its a cute and halarious story of a boy who just had his heart broken and visits a video store but once he watches the video of a cute girl, she pops out of the tv!!

Yamato Nadeshiko Schichi Henge (the wallflower)- its a funny story of 4 beautiful guys trying to make a "ugly" girl become beautiful for free rent from the girls aunt but only one problem the girl doesnt want to be pretty!

ouran high skool host club- Haruhi is poor tomboyish student at a school for the wealthy, only able to attend because of a scholarship. Looking for a place to study, she enters a music room, only to find that it's being used by the Ouran Host Club. The guys of the host club intentionally play up their attributes to please the customers, which even they realize is silly, but it does work like a charm

ghost hunt-Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends--that is, until she meets 17 year-old Kazuya Shibuya, the man sent by Shibuya Psychic Research Center to investigate paranormal activity at a supposedly haunted school. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya's assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya demands that Mai become his assistant

Bleach-A Shinigami named Baishin who was sealed by Soul Society long ago is set free on Earth. On a fateful day Ichigo encounters him and has roughly half of his reiatsu drained. Its now up to Ichigo and Soul Society to finally put a stop to Baishin and his destruction.

yami no matsui-Descendants of Darkness has both aspects of comedy and horror to it, with many violent scenes interspersed with more light-hearted ones. The story revolves around shinigami, the Shinto "Gods of Death"; in English, it is translated to Guardians of Death. The shinigami reside in Meifu, the Underworld. They are the servants of Enma Daiō, the king of the dead, and work in the department of JuOhCho. In this story, shinigami are spiritual detectives who sort out the descrepancies between souls who have arrived and the kiseki, a list of those who still need to arrive to Meifu.

Angel Sanctuary- Setsuna Mudo is a problematic delinquent high school student, who is in love with his sister. To add to his problems, he is also a reincarnation of a fallen angel, which gets him caught in a messy war between heaven and hell.

Araiso Private High School Student Council Executive Committee-Kubota Makoto and Tokitoh Minoru (characters from Kazuya Minekura's manga Wild Adaptor -- though no reference is made to the darker storyline of WA in this light-hearted anime) are the muscle of their high school's all-powerful student council. They defend the student body from disorder -- generated by both humans and demons -- while avoiding their classes.

there are so many others i know and right when im done with this ansewer im gunna know all the ones i forgot!! but anywayz thats all i can think of at the moment....
well naruto a show about a misfit ninja who has a demon in side him is good and bobobo is a comedy about a nosehair bending warrior and if you like horror try d.grayman and sailor moon is good for yaoi/yuri but ghost in the shell is cool to
there are so many great shows out there, but im not sure if the ones i watch are main stream or not...i just watch what i find and finish them if i like them...

My favorite older anime is Yu Yu Hakusho...It basically follows most story lines that action animes go by. A young boy in middle/high school always ditches class to sleep or get into fights. He has no friends except for the over achieving girl who is the class president. he has a bad home life, there for hes always in the streets doing what he pleases. one catch, he dies within minutes of the series when trying to save a little boy and is offered the chance to get his life back if he does good deeds for a day. he ends up getting an offer to be "spirit detective" and finds that he has sweet powers...he works hard and does his job, slowly losing his poor attitude. this series is great for fight scenes because he is eventually sent to demon world where there is the dark tornament in which he fights with many demons for the position of ruler...the series has awsome characters, many of them are my favorite characters ever in television! i suggest that you check it out!

Naruto is good...but its been described...as well as bleach.

Fushigi Yugi is pretty good...its pretty much a love story with some action mixed in. but theres a good story line and it made a good impression on me. The main character finds a book and gets takin into another world that is the book itself. she ends up being the girl who is capable of saving the world by summoning Suzaku, a special "creature" spirit thing that grants wishes. There are seven celestial warriors of Suzaku that are to protect her, they are all very colorful characters that keep you interested, and i actually remembered All of their names, which i usually cant do. but thats because they were pretty sweet. I guess a lot of the story is hard to explain without using a lot of detail, so you should give it a try.

Fruits basket is freaking adorable, but no action really.

I just watched Spiral...its was mind boggeling, little action, and stupid ending. at least thats how i feel. I would avoid it.

As far as buying anime...i would avoid best buy. it can get expensive considering they dont have a lot of box sets. buying anime dvds as singles get expensive. check out sweet websites like animearigato.com they have sooo many series and often have great clearence items...they even carry anime toys posters...manga and japanese snacks too!

Wolfs rain-these people can turn into wolves and leave the city to go look for a place called Paridise. they get attacked alot (lots of blood)

Naruto-a boy named naruto lives in a village trying to become a ninja. he and 2 others are in a group and have to fight and what not!!! they kill lots of people and its really funny with lots of unsuspected parts

Inuyasha-a girl finds this kid trapped to a tree and he has dog ears. finds out he is inuyasha and they must look for jewle shards. funny,romance, and violence

Full Metal Alchemist-these 2 boys try to become state alchemist in serarch for a stone to turn them back into their regular bodie. there is vilonce, cusing.and its halarious!!!!

Howls moving castel-a girl is turned old and is looking for the witch that did that to her.she meats up with howl and they have to fight off this was and get the girl back to her real age

Princess Mononokea-boy is cursued with this mark he got from a demo that will rip his soul out and kill him if not cured by the great forest spirt. goes to a village that makes iorn andit is attacked by a wolf girl. he tries to help everyone while geting his own problem tacken care of

my neighbor totoro-a family moves and the youngest daught er finds a giant rabbitt thing named totro. they do all this funny stuff and whatnot. its cute

spirited away- a girl is sepersted from her parents when they turninto pigs. she has to work at a bathhouse for spirits. she also has to remember her name and help a boy named Haku remember his name too.
